Mid Sussex-based Insurance Brokers Bennett Christmas decided to take a day out the office on Thursday 30th May and instead get their hands dirty by volunteering over at Chestnut Tree House, in Arundel.
8 of the team took a day out of their busy schedules at work to try and give something back to the children’s hospice by doing some gardening chores.
Managing Director Tom Stripp said “Although we were all aware of the great work Chestnut Tree House did, I think we were all blown away and humbled when they showed us around the home – so straight away it motivated us even more to help as much as we could.”
He further added “We all came away from the experience feeling both proud and privileged to have been able to give just a little something back to the charity and would love to be able to do more of these in the future.”
In addition to Chestnut Tree House, over the last 6 months Bennett Christmas have helped at another local charity, St Peter & St James Hospice, as well as donating £750 to each of them at Christmas.
With even more opportunities coming up over the next year to help as much as they can, the Bennett Christmas Group aim to show how its people are the key component which make them different and how they are ‘Redefining Care.’
